SEC explains rise of unclaimed dividends

Musa Al-Faki, Director General, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has given reasons for the increasing growth of unclaimed dividends.
They include issues of shareholders who died without giving due information on their next-of-kin to claim such dividends and multiple applications made by applicants during investment process.

Minister to launch e-dividend payment in Abuja

Shamsudeen Usman, Minister of Finance will today launch the e-dividend payment which will automatically allow dividends to be credited directly into shareholders accounts within 24 hours of payment by the company in which they have invested in.
